First FO of 2007

I finished my stretchy pink Cascade Fixation socks. I may wear them tomorrow. Here they are:

I worried and thought and calculated and you could even say obsessed over the gauge with this yarn. You know, in the end, I don't think it matters much. You end up knitting it slightly stretched. So if your gauge is too loose, it's okay, it'll shrink up when you're done. And if your gauge is too tight, well, that's okay too, cause it'll stretch more when you wear the sock! Very forgiving yarn. The pattern is based on this one. I say loosely because the only thing the same is that I also used the dayflower lace pattern from Barbara Walker. Repeats, gauge, needles, everything else is different.

And, just because I've been looking through old photos and getting all broody, I thought I'd share some with you.
